High Holidays with Congregation Ohr Beharim
Congregation Ohr Beharim warmly invites you to join us in sacred worship as we welcome the Jewish New Year. Under the leadership of Rabbi Shoshana Karlin, our Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services will be filled with the timeless beauty of our prayers and melodies, guiding us through these Days of Awe with reverence and meaning. Together we will embrace the path of tefillah (prayer), teshuvah (return), and tzedakah (acts of justice and compassion), opening our hearts to God, to one another, and to the blessings of the year ahead.

This year, Rabbi Shoshana Karlin will spend the High Holidays serving alongside the Jewish community at Northern Arizona University Hillel, sharing the sacred work of these Days of Awe with Jewish students and our wider Northern Arizona community.
Congregation Ohr Beharim remains rooted in the same vision with which we began: a vibrant, Torah-centered Jewish community in the mountains, filled with prayer, learning, music, connection, and the deep wisdom of our tradition. Sometimes building something sacred also means honoring the season we are in, allowing what we have planted to take root so that what grows can be strong, beautiful, and sustainable.
Our vision for the future includes High Holiday services led by Rabbi Shoshana, along with regular Shabbat worship, Torah study, lifecycle support, pastoral care, hebrew school, b'nai mitzvah education, and meaningful Jewish life throughout the year. To make that possible sustainably, Ohr Beharim has established an annual fundraising goal of $60,000.
