High Holidays with Congregation Ohr Beharim
Congregation Ohr Beharim warmly invites you to join us in sacred worship as we welcome the Jewish New Year. Under the leadership of Rabbi Shoshana Karlin, our Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services will be filled with the timeless beauty of our prayers and melodies, guiding us through these Days of Awe with reverence and meaning. Together we will embrace the path of tefillah (prayer), teshuvah (return), and tzedakah (acts of justice and compassion), opening our hearts to God, to one another, and to the blessings of the year ahead.

Beloved Community,
As the gates of the New Year open before us, we stand together at the threshold of possibility. These holy days call us into the work of tefillah, teshuvah, and tzedakah: prayer, return, and acts of justice. They remind us that every prayer uttered, every step toward return, and every offering of the heart has the power to transform the world.
This year, as we lift our voices in song and reflection, I ask you to join me in weaving light into the fabric of Congregation Ohr Beharim. Our goal is to raise $60,000 during this sacred season so that our community can continue to be a sanctuary of tradition, hope, joy, and renewal here in Flagstaff.
Every gift is a flame. Some shine like the sweetness of apples and honey, others like the strength of the Tree of Life, and still others like the radiant Crown of Torah. Together, these lights become a great fire of blessing that will carry us into the year ahead.
With gratitude and awe, I invite you to step forward in generosity, to help us inscribe our community in the Book of Life for another year of growth, learning, and sacred connection.
May your giving return to you a hundredfold in sweetness, blessing, and peace.
Shanah Tovah U’Metukah - May it be a Good and Sweet Year.
Rabbi Shoshana Karlin
